Is boiler cover worth it?
If an unexpected repair would be hard to absorb, a plan spreads the cost and includes the annual service. If your boiler is new and under warranty, a service-only option may be enough. We will say which suits you honestly.
How is BASI cover different from British Gas HomeCare?
Our Smart Care plans are fixed price with no separate call-out, serviced by our own employed engineers, not sub-contractors. National plans often cost more per month at a like-for-like cover level and add excess charges.
What do the Smart Care 100, 200 and 300 plans include?
100 covers the boiler and the annual service. 200 adds full central heating. 300 adds plumbing and drains. All by direct debit, cancel anytime, with the annual service built into every tier.
Is there a call-out fee or excess on a cover plan?
No separate call-out fee and no surprise excess on our plans. You pay the monthly price; the annual service and covered repairs are included. We tell you up front what is and is not covered.
Can I cancel my cover plan?
Yes, cancel anytime. It is a rolling direct debit, not a locked-in contract. You keep cover until the end of the paid period, with no exit fee and no pressure to stay.
