How we're making boiler replacements and repairs safe

It is now possible to arrange boiler replacements in Leeds and wider Yorkshire with our heating engineers. We have begun installing new boilers and central heating systems for customers who had been waiting for lockdown measures to change.

Because we responded to emergency callouts throughout lockdown, our engineers are used to operating with physical distancing measures. They work in teams of one or two, limiting the number of people who need to come to your home.

Don’t hesitate to get it sorted now

If you know you need a replacement boiler, get it sorted sooner rather than later. An old or faulty boiler is inefficient and wastes money and energy every day. It also puts you at risk of a breakdown, which is costly and even dangerous.

How we made installations and repairs safe

The main change was to limit contact during the whole process and practise physical distancing. On request, the survey and quote could be handled remotely, over the phone and by email. The measures in place included:

  • Making sure our operatives were aware of the symptoms, followed government guidelines and self-isolated if they suspected any
  • Operatives attending appointments wearing protective masks and gloves
  • Multiskilled fitters, so teams could be limited to one or two people
  • Keeping a 2-metre distance while in the home
  • Fully cleaning and disinfecting the work area

Where possible, it was better for you to be outside the home or in a different room while the work took place. Summer was the ideal time to get the job done, with work carried out safely indoors while residents sat outside.

If you need a boiler replacement or repair, our team is happy to help.
